In April 2022, a consortium, comprised of Bandhan Financial Holding (60%), ChrysCapital (20%), and Singapore's Sovereign Fund GIC (20%), successfully acquired IDFC Asset Management Company. Following this acquisition, IDFC Mutual Fund underwent rebranding and emerged as Bandhan Mutual Fund in March 2023.
